Washington-Cowboys Thanksgiving showdown most-watched NFL game of season

The telecast averaged 30.3 million viewers -- making it the most-watched NFL game this season, according to Fox. The network drew that large of a number despite the league's overall ratings being down this season and the game -- a 41-16 Washington win -- becoming a blowout in the second half.

The NFL is losing the battle against the coronavirus. Can it finish the season?

As of Nov. 21, the NFL has had more coronavirus cases (178) in November than it did in the first three months of testing (162). The uptick, which the league believes mirrors the surge of positives around the country, has left the league scrambling -- addressing each situation on a case-by-case basis while revamping protocols in real time.

The NFL is postponing this week's matchup between the Baltimore Ravens and the Pittsburgh Steelers -- moving it from Thursday evening to Sunday afternoon. The delay comes after a number of Baltimore players and staffers tested positive for the coronavirus.

Washington-Cowboys rivalry evolves, loses luster heading into Thanksgiving showdown

NFL seeing rash of quarterback injuries

Through 11 weeks, five starters have landed on injured reserve -- Burrow, Allen, Prescott, New Orleans' Drew Brees and San Francisco's Jimmy Garoppolo. Two others -- the Jets' Sam Darnold and Jacksonville's Garnder Minshew -- have also missed significant time. And Chicago could be without Nick Foles (hip) and Mitchell Trubisky (shoulder) this weekend against the Packers.
