NFC East once again loaded as Commanders look to gain ground

The NFC East was the toughest division in football a year ago. Three of its four teams made the playoffs, and the fourth-place Washington Commanders finished exactly at .500. Together, the squads combined for a .647 winning percentage -- the third-best mark in NFL history, according to StatMuse.

Commanders pour $40 million into FedEx Field upgrades

The Washington Commanders announced a $40 million investment Thursday into FedEx Field, touting "significant upgrades" to the stadium infrastructure, renovated suites and updated branded imagery around the stadium among a series of other changes.

Commanders sale boosts NFL valuations after record price tag

The average NFL value went up 14% last year in large part as a result of the Commanders selling for a record $6.05 billion, according to Forbes. The business publication released its annual list of NFL valuations on Thursday, with the average NFL team now worth $5.1 billion.

Jason Wright: A return to the ‘Redskins’ nickname not on table

GM Brian MacLellan lands promotion from Capitals in front office reshuffle

Brian MacLellan received a new title -- president of hockey operations -- as part of a series of moves to the team's front office, the Capitals announced Monday. Report: Nationals pitcher Stephen Strasburg plans to retire

Terry McLaurin sprains toe, but Commanders wide receiver optimistic for Week 1

The wide receiver sprained his toe in Monday's 29-28 preseason win over the Baltimore Ravens, but an MRI the next day revealed no major damage. A source with knowledge of the situation said the Commanders are optimistic that McLaurin will be available for Sept. 10's season opener against the Arizona Cardinals.
