MLB pitch clock having intended effect on speeding up games

Near the beginning of the season, MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred declared that the pitch clock and other rule changes would restore baseball to "when it was the most popular." The executive didn't specify when exactly the sport ruled all, but for context, the five most-watched World Series fell between 1978 and 1982.

Nationals select Dylan Crews second overall in MLB Draft

The Nationals drafted LSU outfielder Dylan Crews with the second overall pick in Sunday's MLB draft, selecting the nation's top college hitter who hit .426 this past season. The 21-year-old was the obvious choice for the Nationals after the Pittsburgh Pirates selected LSU pitcher Paul Skenes ahead of Washington.
