Washington’s bargain-bin approach to free agency paying off

The bargain-bin approach, it turns out, was a success. Despite what appeared to be uninspiring signings at the time, a 4-7 Washington team is in the hunt for the NFC East partially because of contributions from its free-agent class who are performing well beyond their expectations. Sure, the division's mediocrity helps, though the signings have largely panned out.
