NBA ratings dip out of step with trend

As sports leagues stagger back to life after the global COVID-19 shutdown, athletes have made it clear to owners and fans that protests and calls for social justice -- from kneeling during the national anthem to speaking out on partisan political issues -- will be part of the new norm.

Ron Rivera’s culture tested with Derrius Guice, Reuben Foster

The timing, even if coincidental, couldn't have been any more glaring. Two days after running back Derrius Guice was released following a domestic violence-related arrest, Washington activated Reuben Foster off the Physically Unable to Perform list -- the same Foster who has been arrested multiple times on domestic violence charges when with San Francisco 49ers.

Nationals’ game against Orioles suspended due to to tarp mishap

The Nationals' grounds crew had trouble unrolling the tarp during a heavy but brief rainstorm, helping cause more than a two-hour delay before officials postponed Sunday's game between the Nationals and the Baltimore Orioles. Play will resume at Camden Yards next Friday, with the Nationals down 5-2 in the top of the sixth inning.

Washington activates Reuben Foster off PUP list

Washington activated linebacker Reuben Foster from the Physically Unable to Perform list, meaning he'll now be eligible to practice with the team -- more than a year after the 26-year-old suffered a devastating knee injury.
