Wizards indicate once-unthinkable team shakeup may be near

According to ESPN, the Wizards have indicated to teams that everyone on their roster is available -- including stars Bradley Beal and John Wall. Redskins react to Alex Smith’s season ending injury

Alex Smith to miss rest of the season, needs surgery

Alex Smith will miss the rest of the season after breaking his tibia and fibula in Sunday's 23-21 loss to the Houston Texans. The Redskins quarterback will need "immediate" surgery, coach Jay Gruden said.

Parents, players rethinking youth football nationwide

High school football enrollment has dropped 6.6 percent in the past 10 years, according to the National Federation of State High School Associations, and the total number of players decreased by 20,320 from 2016 to 2017.
