Job growth slows in July; unemployment ticks up

The Labor Department revealed that job growth slowed in July as employers added 73,000 jobs and the unemployment rate ticked up slightly, both signs of potential trouble for the U.S. labor market.

Federal Reserve leaves interest rates unchanged

A divided Federal Reserve voted Wednesday to keep its benchmark rates unchanged, despite a dissent from two of its top officials and a torrent of criticism from President Trump.
