Alex Rocco, Moe Greene in ‘The Godfather,’ dead at 79

Alex Rocco, who portrayed the doomed Las Vegas casino owner Moe Greene in the original "Godfather" film in 1972, died Saturday, reported Time. He was 79. Mr. Rocco's daughter, Jennifer, noted his passing on the actor's official Facebook page without relating a cause of death.

Richard Gere, ‘homeless’ man, uses ‘Time Out of Mind’ film to raise awareness

Even Richard Gere had a tough time panhandling. For his role as George, a homeless man suffering from mental illness in the upcoming film "Time Out of Mind," the actor went "undercover" in New York, standing on street corners and beseeching people for change. "I made a buck and a half. I was very bad at this," Mr. Gere said.

Amy Winehouse film unravels life, untimely death of troubled British singer

Foo Fighters rock D.C. in star-filled, stadium-packed celebration of 20th anniversary

Not even Mother Nature could stop the Foo Fighters 20th Anniversary Blowout at RFK Stadium on Saturday. The band threw itself -- and a crowd of 40,000 spectators -- a rockin' fiesta to coincide with the ruby anniversary of the release of its self-titled first album in 1995. Backed by a bevy of supporting acts such as Gary Clarke Jr., Buddy Guy, Heart, LL Cool J and Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, the Foos celebrated both their music and America's birthday in high-rock fashion.

Rush 40th anniversary tour makes New Jersey stop

‘Book of Mormon’ more shock than awe

After wowing Broadway and making it the hottest ticket you couldn't get, "Book of Mormon" is at the Kennedy Center Opera House through Aug. 16, and the touring production has brought along the humor, the songs, the dance and, yes, the offensiveness intact.
