U.S. deploys more troops to Iraq for showdown with ISIS

The U.S. and Iraq took a big step closer to a showdown with Islamic State fighters Wednesday as the Pentagon announced that 615 more U.S. soldiers are heading to Iraq in anticipation of the battle to liberate Mosul, Iraq's second-largest city.

Response to North Korean nuke test foiled by U.S.-China divide

China and the United States are playing the blame game over North Korea's most recent nuclear test, with Washington and Beijing trading accusations on whether each country is doing enough to curb Pyongyang's saber-rattling in the region.
