Richard Blumenthal renews push to pass Journalist Protection Act amid uproar over Trump video

Sen. Richard Blumenthal on Tuesday renewed calls for Congress to make it a federal crime for anyone to attack or threaten a member of the news media doing their job. The Connecticut Democrat's renewed push to pass the Journalist Protection Act comes after a violent video was played at a pro-Trump conference recently with a fantasy sequence showing the president gunning down journalists.
