Giant setback for Redskins in ugly nationally televised loss

Quarterback Kirk Cousins threw four interceptions, the Redskins piled up penalties in every facet of the game, and their defense made unheralded tight ends look like American folk heroes. The result was a 45-14 loss to the Giants at FedEx Field, and an opportunity lost.

Though Rendon tries to stay out of the spotlight, his performance on the field has made that impossible. Entering Thursday night's series-opener against the Marlins, the 24-year-old was hitting .285 with 20 home runs, 85 RBI and 15 stolen bases.
