Redskins tight end Vernon Davis suffered a concussion in Sunday's loss to the New York Giants and is in concussion protocol, coach Jay Gruden said Wednesday.

Jay Gruden not yet willing to commit to Dwayne Haskins

Despite turning to Haskins, Gruden did not commit to starting the Ohio State product next week against the New England Patriots. He told reporters he would re-evaluate the situation on Monday. Beyond Haskins and Keenum, Washington could also look to veteran Colt McCoy, who practiced this week for the first time since he suffered a setback with his leg injury in mid-August.

Dwayne Haskins not enough as Redskins look lifeless vs. Giants

In Sunday's 24-3 loss to the New York Giants, Dwayne Haskins' season debut wasn't enough to rally the Redskins to a victory, nor will it quiet the speculation regarding coach Jay Gruden's job. Washington mustered only three points against a defense that had given up the second-most yards prior to the game.
