Biden taps new White House counsel to thwart GOP probes

President Biden on Tuesday said he has chosen Ed Siskel, who shielded President Obama from House Republican probes, to serve as his next White House counsel amid a slew of judicial and congressional investigations.

Auto workers’ fight over electric vehicles puts Biden on the spot

President Joe Biden on Monday backed off his full-throated support for unions by calling on autoworkers and the Big Three automakers to reach a deal in their dispute over the transition to electric vehicles, which are central to the president's climate change agenda.

Donald Trump campaign slams appointment of Hunter Biden special counsel

The campaign of former President Donald Trump on Friday came out swinging against Attorney General Merrick Garland's decision to elevate David Weiss, the U.S. attorney for Delaware, to special counsel in his investigation of President Biden's son Hunter Biden. Mr. Weiss has already been in charge of the investigation into the younger Mr. Biden's tax and other legal problems under both Mr. Trump and Mr. Biden.
