Bernie Sanders’ rivals leave wiggle room on contested convention

Sen. Bernard Sanders' 2020 Democratic presidential rivals tried to leave themselves a bit of wiggle room for late-stage politicking in the event that a single candidate doesn't win a majority of pledged delegates before the Democratic National Convention.

Richard Grenell to be acting director of national intelligence

President Trump on Wednesday tapped Richard Grenell, the current U.S. ambassador to Germany, to be the acting director of national intelligence, elevating a trusted adviser to oversee an intelligence community even though Mr. Grenell's background doesn't necessarily lend itself to the all-important post.
