Momentum Mississippi is a statewide, public–private partnership dedicated to the development of economic and employment opportunities in Mississippi. It was created in 2004 by Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour to implement recommendations of the [http://www.msmec.com/mx/hm.asp?id=BluePrintMississippi Blueprint Mississippi Study] which was initiated by the [http://www.msmec.com/mx/hm.asp?id=home Mississippi Economic Council]. Its major goals are to increase per capita income and employment while bringing new investments, jobs, and quality education to Mississippi.
