RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) - A Rapid City man who threatened to shoot a clerk during a casino robbery last year has been sentenced to 20 years in prison.
Authorities say 30-year-old Rudolph Gabe and another man, Bradley Lightfoot, robbed the East St. Pat Casino on July 6, 2012, with a handgun and a sword. During an ensuing chase with law officers, they threw cash out of their vehicle. The chase ended when their vehicle crashed through several fences.
The Rapid City Journal reports (https://bit.ly/1frweIq ) that Gabe pleaded guilty to first-degree burglary. In exchange, prosecutors dismissed charges for aggravated assault and petty theft. He also was not charged as a repeat offender.
Lightfoot has pleaded guilty to burglary and is scheduled for sentencing in March.
