Stephen Strasburg controls Marlins in all facets

Bryce Harper isn’t making much progress

The Nationals' right fielder is waiting for his hyperextended and bruised left knee to heal. He also has a calf strain. Washington has begun to consider contingency plans in case Harper cannot return.

Out at home: Nationals fall 6-5 to Mets

When Daniel Murphy's single was overrun in the outfield, Washington third base coach Bob Henley cranked his arm, sending Edwin Jackson past third for home. But a perfect throw to the plate put an end to the Nationals' bottom-of-the-ninth rally, giving the Mets a 6-5 win in the first of a day-night doubleheader Sunday.
