Ken Cuccinelli blasts Congress failure to pass immigration law

The Trump administration made a rare admission of a mistake Wednesday as immigration chief Ken Cuccinelli said he bungled an August policy rollout that told some illegal immigrants caring for sick children that they had a month to leave the county or else face deportation.

Border evasions top 150,000 in 2019

More than 150,000 illegal immigrants evaded capture at the border over the past year, Homeland Security officials said Tuesday, detailing the record surge and what agents and officers did to stop it.

DHS cuts welfare test for immigration fee waivers

Homeland Security's citizenship agency announced Friday it is streamlining the way migrants can apply for a discount on their immigration fees, saying that the old method unfairly gave an advantage to people living in some states.
