Eric Cantor pressured to skip conference by moderate GOP group

The head of a conservative advocacy group is calling on House Majority Leader Eric Cantor to turn down an invitation to attend a conference being hosted by a moderate Republican organization, warning that by going, Mr. Cantor could hurt his standing with the GOP's grassroots leaders.

Rep. Dave Camp of Michigan latest GOP leader planning to retire

Rep. Mike Rogers said last week that he would not seek another term. Earlier this year, Rep. Buck McKeon, the head of the House Armed Services Committee, and Rep. Doc Hastings, head of the House Natural Resources Committee, announced that they too were leaving Congress at the end of their current term.
