Pew poll shows the truth about voter fraud

In past decades, voting was deemed an honorable, patriotic and responsible act -- a civic duty. Concern about voter fraud, however, has taken center stage. Republicans suspect Democrats are padding voter rolls with undocumented immigrants and even dead people. Democrats in turn accuse the GOP of voter suppression and remain wary of election-integrity reforms. A meticulous new poll, however, offers some clarity as the 2022 midterm elections loom on the horizon.

Pride, patriotism still dominant sentiments toward U.S. flag, poll shows

Voters continue to admire the U.S. flag, with 82% saying that either pride or patriotism describes the sentiments they feel toward Old Glory, according to a survey released Tuesday by the Convention of States Action, in partnership with the polling firm The Trafalgar Group.

Poll: Media widely seen as ‘enemy of the people’

The public developed a dysfunctional relationship with the early partisan news media in George Washington's times. Have things gotten any worse than in previous years? Could be. Six-out-of-10 U.S. voters now view the media as "truly the enemy of the people," according to a new Rasmussen Reports voter survey. Those damning words -- "enemy of the people" -- are from the pollster, by the way.

Voters wary of ‘government experts’

Ronald Reagan warned in 1986 that "the nine most terrifying words in the English language are: 'I'm from the government and I'm here to help.'" The public seems to agree some 35 years later, according to veteran pollster Scott Rasmussen, who asked 1,200 registered U.S. voters what should be done when government experts and intellectuals recommended a policy that voters strongly opposed.

Texas calls in the grassroots army

It is some genuine boots-on-the-ground thinking. Texas Gov. Greg Abbott is looking toward residents to provide firsthand information about the troubled southern U.S. border with Mexico. Mr. Abbott is urging landowners in Texas border communities who have been "affected by the influx of unlawful immigration" to complete a new, self-reported survey of the damages on their properties.
