Glenn Youngkin gets an unexpected boost

A round of applause, please, for the indefatigable Glenn Youngkin. The Republican contender for Virginia governor is now in his final campaign push which has included a 10-day, 50-stop tour of the commonwealth in the last week which could sway a very close race. Mr. Youngkin, however, also may have some hidden support which could be very helpful indeed.

There's some serious static on the nation's airwaves. Dan Bongino is among the high-profile population of talk-radio hosts who are taking a stand against vaccine mandates, according to an industry report. Several national radio companies now require employees to be vaccinated against COVID-19 and the mandate "is causing angst for some in the industry," said Talkers Magazine, a publication that has tracked the field since 1990.

One of the best bumper stickers ever -- at least according to Inside the Beltway records -- was the one from 2010 that simply said "Don't tell Obama what comes after a trillion." A Republican stalwart offers a possible explanation for the cavalier attitude among many members of the Democratic Party towards these stupefying amounts of money.
