A West Virginia native, he is a 2009 graduate of West Virginia University and a 2017 graduate of the University of Maryland, both in broadcast journalism. Before coming to the Times in 2019, George spent seven years working in a variety of capacities on Capitol Hill and with the U.S. House of Representatives. Maryland to mandate COVID-19 vaccines for indoor sporting events

Beginning with Sunday's home men's basketball against Wisconsin, Maryland fans will have to provide either a COVID-19 vaccination card, a picture or screenshot of that card or a vaccination record of negative test results from a PCR or antigen test done by a professional to cheer on the Terrapins in person.

Maryland dismantled by No. 8 Michigan in loss
