Live sports are back on TV, but prepare for a long road still ahead

Redskins announce 2020 preseason schedule

The Washington Redskins announced their 2020 preseason schedule Friday, featuring three AFC South opponents followed by their traditional preseason foes, the Baltimore Ravens.

Mac McClung to transfer from Georgetown

Mac McClung will withdraw his name from the NBA draft and enter the NCAA transfer portal, leaving behind Georgetown in a surprise development in the guard's career.

Capitals’ minor-leaguers stuck in limbo with AHL season canceled

Even though they know the fate of their AHL season, a different kind of hockey assignment could pop up down the road for Pheonix Copley and Beck Malenstyn. The Capitals have told them they'll be called up as "black aces" in the event that the NHL season is able to conclude.

Golf courses open in all 50 states, but D.C. golfers still waiting

The press secretary for District Mayor Muriel Bowser told The Washington Times that the mayor will "make an announcement later this week" regarding golf as an allowable outdoor activity. For now, Washington, D.C., remains one of the last major jurisdictions in the country where golf courses remain closed.
