The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) is a law enforcement agency under the United States Department of Justice, tasked with combating drug smuggling and use within the United States. Investigators last year discovered someone was using JPay, an electronic system to communicate and send money, to talk with a drug supplier in Mexico, the Drug Enforcement Administration said in an affidavit.
The DEA said it concurs with the inspector general's recommendations, according to a response included in the report.
