GEORGETOWN, Del. (AP) - Police have charged a man in the slaying of a man at a Georgetown apartment complex.

Delaware State Police announced Tuesday that they have charged 24-year-old Teveya Brittingham of Lewes with first-degree murder in the death of 43-year-old Cornelius Henry. He’s being held without bail.

Georgetown police officers called to the Dunbarton Apartments early Sunday found Henry in the vestibule of one of the buildings and he was pronounced dead on the scene. Police say Henry’s death was ruled a homicide and the cause of death was determined to be blunt force trauma to the head and neck.

Police say a blood trail led them to a nearby apartment, where Brittingham was found with blood on his pants and sneakers. He was taken into custody.
