Matt Ioannidis to have hand surgery, Jordan Reed likely out

Redskins defensive end Matt Ioannidis will undergo surgery Wednesday to repair a broken hand, coach Jay Gruden said Monday. Ioannidis fractured his fourth metacarpal during the Redskins' 33-19 loss Sunday to the Dallas Cowboys.

Astros fan steals, throws back Yasiel Puig home-run ball

It's baseball tradition to throw a home-run ball from the opposing team back on to the field, but a Houston Astros fan created quite a stir Sunday when he ripped the ball from another fan's hands -- throwing Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig's home run back on the field.

George W. Bush throws heat on first pitch at World Series

Former President George W. Bush still has it at 71 years old. The 43rd president threw out the first pitch before Game 5 of the World Series on Sunday between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Houston Texans at Minute Maid Park.
