Bryce Harper, Ron Harper cherish Home Run Derby walk-off

On Monday, Harper became the third player ever to win the Derby in his home ballpark -- and he won it in dramatic fashion. Harper hit eight straight home runs and won 19-18 in a walk-off. With 90 seconds remaining, he was down 18-9.

Dwight Howard officially signs with Wizards

The Wizards announced the move Thursday. Though terms were not disclosed, center Dwight Howard will sign a two-year deal at the taxpayer mid-level exception, with a player option after the first year.

Brandon Scherff, Jamison Crowder in line for new deals

Outside of adding wide receiver Paul Richardson, the Redskins remained mostly quiet in free agency this year. While Washington also re-signed some of their own players, veterans Orlando Scandrick and Pernell McPhee were the Redskins' two other notable signings.
