Amid spat, Saban and Alabama land QB previously committed to Texas A&M

The Alabama coach on Tuesday garnered the commitment of four-star quarterback Eli Holstein, who had previously chosen to play for Jimbo Fisher at Texas A&M. The move comes amid a public spat between the two coaches over Saban's accusation that the Aggies "bought every player" in their top-ranked recruiting class.

Islanders hire former Capitals assistant Lambert to replace Trotz

One week after firing Barry Trotz, the Islanders on Monday promoted his assistant, Lane Lambert, to the post. Lambert has been an assistant for Trotz for more than a decade, including during Trotz's four-year stint in the District that ended with Washington's first Stanley Cup title in 2018.
