FEIN: Splinter power, promote prosperity

A nation can become rich by splintering economic regulatory power among competing autonomous authorities to frustrate the foolishness associated with monopolies.

FEIN: Truth-resistant minimum wage edicts

The recent flurry of minimum-wage ordinances, statutes or decrees insults economic truth and logic as much as the geocentric theory of the universe affronts the heliocentric.

FEIN: Winning wars without fighting battles

The multiplicity of Islamic factions and rivalries should be exploited by the CIA to foment endless internecine warfare among and between Sunnis and Shiites.

FEIN: Obama echoes LBJ on Vietnam

Mr. Obama's choice to echo LBJ's Vietnam War ambitions and plans in warring against ISIS is like West Point invoking Gen. George Custer's defeat at the Battle of the Little Big Horn as worthy of emulation.

FEIN: The true axis of evil

An axis of evil threatens the liberties of the United States from within: the warfare state; the surveillance state; the bail-out state; and, the welfare state.

Fighters from the Islamic State group parade in an Iraqi security forces armored vehicle. Experts say defeating the group is more akin to what was required to beat al Qaeda in Iraq, which was founded in 2004 by Jordanian Abu Musab al-Zarqawi and subsequently led by the group's current chief, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, an Iraqi cleric. FEIN: Vetting the Syrian opposition

President Barack Obama and Congress are fighting the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) from an ivory tower of unreality. And no war was ever won from an ivory tower. A compelling example is the United States' plan to vet elements of the Syrian opposition. But the vetting plan for Syria is more impractical than the World War II idea to boil the oceans to destroy Nazi submarines.

FEIN: Fire CIA Director John Brennan

We are back to the bad old days before the Church Committee hearings on covert CIA and FBI affairs and the creation of the House and Senate Intelligence committees, when the NSA’s Minaret program targeted Sens. Frank Church and Howard Baker, and others for surveillance.

Federal Judge Timothy Black

FEIN: Electoral fraud protection

According to U.S. District Judge Timothy S. Black, the Constitution permits more protection against fraud in purchasing a jar of peanut butter than in casting a vote for the president of the United States!

FEIN: Obama dethrones rule of law

President Obama is torturing the language and purposes of twin federal statutes enacted more than a decade ago to justify his lawless war against ISIS.

FEIN: Not the president of the world

President Obama's address Wednesday night betrayed new levels of pioneering moral obtuseness to justify a limitless, unconstitutional war against the Islamic State.

FEIN: Obama’s stupid war

In the annals of the United States, there may be more stupid conflicts than President Obama's soon-to-be announced war against the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), but if there are, they do not readily come to mind.

FEIN: Obama’s war against the Constitution

On Wednesday, President Obama will pulverize the U.S. Constitution by seizing the exclusive constitutional power of Congress to authorize war, and Congress will effetely surrender without a battle.

FEIN: Hillary Clinton and world order

Hillary Clinton’s self-promoting and amateurish review of Henry Kissinger’s World Order in the Outlook Section of The Washington Post (September 7, 2014) brings to mind philosopher Samuel Johnson’s quip about “a woman's preaching."

Republican Sens. Lindsey Graham and John McCain: ISIS threatens our homefront. (Associated Press)

FEIN: War hysteria

We are absurdly told that ISIS is a clear and present danger to Americans at home, including the installation of a caliphate to cram sharia law down our throats. Any high school student who made such an hallucinogenic assertion would receive a flunking grade.
