BRUCE FEIN: It’s time to abolish the CIA

The CIA should be abolished. After a trial run of 67 years, the CIA has proven a sorcerer's apprentice. The director and his subordinates have became insufferably arrogant Platonic Guardians hiding behind secrecy in the belief that the rest of us are too stupid or naive to judge what risks to accept to preserve liberty and the rule of law. The CIA has made Americans less safe.

FILE - This June 21, 2007 file photo show a MQ-1 Predator controlled by the 46th Expeditionary Reconnaissance Squadron stands on the tarmac at Balad Air Base, north of Baghdad, Iraq. A Pentagon official says the U.S. has started flying armed drones over Baghdad to protect U.S. civilians and military forces in the Iraqi capital. The official said the flights started in the last 24 to 48 hours to bolster manned and unmanned reconnaissance flights the military has been sending over violence-wracked Iraq in recent weeks. He spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to discuss the new flights on the record. (AP Photo/Maya Alleruzzo, File) **FILE**

BRUCE FEIN: Congress AWOL on predator drone killings

Congress has been derelict in failing to conduct comprehensive oversight hearings to appraise the predator drone program. They would probably provoke legislation to terminate the professedly targeted killings because they create more terrorists or terrorist sympathizers than they eliminate.

FILE - In this Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012 file image released by the Egyptian Presidency, Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi, center, speaks with Minister of Defense, Lt. Gen. Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi, left, at a military base in Ismailia, Egypt. Having secured victory in a referendum on a relatively liberal constitution that he championed, insiders say Egypt's military chief is turning his attention to the country’s overwhelming array of problems _ from health and education to government subsidies and investment. The revelations offer the latest indication that Gen. Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi is planning a run for president, capping a stunning transformation for the 59-year-old who started in the infantry. BRUCE FEIN: Stop U.S. democracy promotion abroad

The U.S. government should cease its arrogant and ill-informed attempts to promote democracy around the globe — whether in Cuba, Iraq, Afghanistan, Communist China, Ukraine, Burma or otherwise.

Rand Paul knocks out Marco Rubio like Ali over Foreman

Sen. Rand Paul has delivered a knock out punch against Sen. Marco Rubio over normalization of relations with Cuba to benefit the United States. The punch was as decisive as Muhammad Ali's knock out of George Foreman in the Rumble in the Jungle 40 years ago. Mr. Rubio's presidential ambitions are over.

BRUCE FEIN: Hillary’s gender hallucinations

Hillary Clinton signaled her intent to play the gender card in her quest for the White House in a speech at Georgetown University last week. The nation will pay a steep price in endless gratuitous wars that manufacture enemies at prohibitive cost if she succeeds.
