Adrian Peterson turned 35 years old Saturday, and in doing so, the Redskins running back made a notable contribution to help fight COVID-19.
Peterson donated $100,000 through his charity, the Adrian & Ashley Peterson Family Foundation, to aid senior citizens and students in Houston affected by the coronavirus outbreak. The running back made the announcement Saturday morning on Twitter.
“I appreciate everyone’s kind birthday messages,” Peterson tweeted. “The way I’d like to celebrate this year is to give back to others in our city. The @AAPFFoundation is pledging $100,000 to help those in need during these tough times in Houston. We will beat this!”
Peterson’s charity will donate $100,000 worth of meals to those in need.
