Celebrity chef and 2019 Nobel Peace Prize finalist José Andrés threw out the first pitch Sunday in Game 5 of the World Series, drawing loud cheers from the Nationals Park crowd.

After playfully changing the call with Ryan Zimmerman, who served as his catcher, Andrés threw a pitch and then put on sunglasses similar to the ones Gerardo Parra and Aníbal Sánchez have worn throughout the season.

Andrés, a noted critic of President Trump, did not meet with reporters before the game.

Andrés is a prominent local restaurant owner who is best known nationally for his humanitarian work in Puerto Rico, feeding people after Hurricane Maria. He has frequently opposed Trump’s immigration policies and withdrew plans to open a restaurant at the Trump International Hotel in 2015.
