Meghan Markle’s half-sister, Samantha Markle, says the child pornography possession claims made by her brother, Thomas Markle Jr., against their father are untrue.
News broke on Friday that Thomas Markle Sr., 82, is being investigated in the Philippines for possession of child pornography after his son accused him of having it on his computer.
Samantha told the Daily Mail that “there is no merit in these disgusting allegations whatsoever, and my brother is disgusting for making them up.”

“He wants to destroy our dad,” she added. “Shame on him.”
She further said her brother fabricated these “lies” a few weeks ago after their father cut Thomas Markle Jr. off financially.
“He has used dad as a cash cow for years, and once the money stopped, he made up the most outrageous lies he could to try and make money from the media,” she said.
Samantha said the computer in question was out of possession of their father for two years, adding that he was in a rehabilitation facility and “did not have access” to the device in question.
Thomas Sr. also spoke to the Daily Mail, saying, “I’m shocked, I’m hurt and I’m very upset that my son is making these accusations against me. I could never do what I’m being accused of. It’s the worst thing anyone could accuse me of.”
Meghan, the duchess of Sussex, has said she is “deeply distressed” by the allegations, adding that she would not let her children have contact with Thomas Sr. after she heard similar accusations against him in 2018.
