President Trump ripped comedian Bill Maher in a lengthy social media post Sunday, dubbing him a “COMPLETE AND TOTAL LOSER” less than two weeks after the two had dinner at the White House.
In his more than 1,300-word post, Mr. Trump said, “Bill: Don’t call anymore.”
Most of the president’s post was in response to Mr. Maher’s first episode on HBO’s “Real Time” since dining at the White House on Oct. 15.

Before Mr. Trump put Mr. Maher on blast, the president had said the dinner was “great,” adding his guest “likes me a lot more than people understand, and I actually like him.”
His mood shifted Sunday in Mr. Trump’s longest post on record, according to CNN.
“I never watched your show much, but I will never watch it again, because it is nothing more than FAKE NEWS,” Mr. Trump said on social media.
About the show, Mr. Maher addressed and defended his recent dinner with the president, firing back at his critics: “Yeah, I did it again, b——— … I like these dinners.”
Sunday’s “Real Time” episode included a one-on-one interview with former White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt and a panel discussion with Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear, a Democrat, and Steve Hilton, the Republican nominee for California governor.
Along with touting his success on “The Apprentice,” the president ripped Mr. Maher’s show in his Sunday night rant.
“When I became President, I agreed to meet, after the first one, and the last one, but never agreed to do his show, which he wants me to do, DESPARATELY — It won’t happen!” Mr. Trump said.
The president said TV producer Chuck LaBella, whom he described as a “gofer” on “The Apprentice,” and musician Kid Rock “called me incessantly about meeting with Bill Maher.”
“My first response was, ‘Fellas, this guy’s a Goofball.’ They said, ‘He wants to go down to the White House, be with you, and talk. He said you’re very smart, but you’re not into the Liberal Platform. Will you start thinking about it?’” Mr. Trump said. “He invited himself to the White House! We had our first meeting, Bill was very nervous. He asked for a drink. He was very insecure, and he had a seriously bruised eye and nose area, as though somebody had just beaten him up — But it wasn’t me!”
