A woman is in custody, accused by police of killing her husband and 3-year-old son while staying at a Great Wolf Lodge resort about 75 miles north of Philadelphia.

Metallica Harrison, 27, made a distress call at 3:13 p.m. Monday and told the dispatcher she wanted assistance in killing herself. The Pocono Township Police Department responded to her room at the resort and found her wounded, with her husband and son dead, the police said in a release.

Ms. Harrison allegedly told the operator that “I’m too weak to stab my neck” and that her “husband and son are already gone in the bed in the living room,” according to an affidavit cited by Lancaster’s WGAL.

Ms. Harrison had superficial wounds to her neck and cuts on her left wrist, while her husband, Charles Harrison, had multiple stab wounds to his chest and her son had a stab wound to his chest.

She told the responding police officers that she wanted to be with her husband and son, according to the affidavit against her as cited by Philadelphia’s WPVI-TV.

Police investigators also found medication bottles throughout the hotel room as well as a pair of knives that Great Wolf Lodge staff said did not come from the resort, according to Fox News.

The police then arranged for Ms. Harrison’s transportation to the hospital.

Ms. Harrison said during her ride to the hospital that “every day, I work so hard. To be the best person, the best mother, the best wife. It wasn’t supposed to end like this. I was supposed to have my happy family. That’s what I envisioned since I was a child,” according to the affidavit as cited by WPVI.

The Harrisons checked in on Sept. 21 before extending the stay on Oct. 5. The family was due to check out Tuesday, according to Fox News.

Following her treatment, Ms. Harrison was put into custody at a local correctional facility. She is charged with two counts of criminal homicide and, having been denied bail, will remain in custody leading up to a preliminary hearing in her case, police said.

The preliminary hearing is scheduled for next Wednesday, according to court records.

In a statement to WGAL, Great Wolf Lodge said that “we are deeply saddened and heartbroken by a tragic domestic incident that occurred yesterday in a guest room at our resort in the Pocono Mountains. It was an isolated family incident, and we’re cooperating fully with local law enforcement as they conduct their investigation. Our thoughts are with the family and loved ones of those affected.”
