Team Biden tuned out Trump’s warnings, modeling on migrant surge

The Trump administration warned President Biden's transition team last year to expect a migrant surge if it followed through on his immigration campaign promises, and even presented modeling to show how bad it might get, a senior official told The Washington Times.

Joe Biden says border surge ‘happens every year’

President Biden downplayed the severity of the border surge Thursday, saying it "happens every year," and suggested things seem worse now because the Trump administration left him with a broken system unable to deal with the problem.
