Lawmakers blast Big Tech firms during hearing but promote their books on those platforms

Lawmakers that questioned the business practices of Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube during a Senate hearing on Tuesday simultaneously used those same platforms to promote their books. Missouri Republican Sen. Josh Hawley, for example, tweeted an Amazon link for his new book, "The Tyranny of Big Tech," just minutes before a hearing convened in which he took the e-commerce giant to task.

U.S. scientists feared compromised by China

More than 500 federally funded scientists are under investigation for being compromised by China and other foreign powers, the National Institutes of Health revealed Thursday.
