China’s Dalian Wanda Group to buy Dick Clark Productions; critics raise concern over Communist ties

The Dalian Wanda Group, a Chinese entertainment company, is looking to buy Dick Clark Productions for $1 billion, the New York Times reported Friday. But at least one congressman recently asked the Justice Department to look into whether the company's growing interest in American media outlets runs afoul of federal law aimed at preventing foreign governments propagandizing American audiences.
