Juan Soto joins exclusive club by hitting home run No. 100 in age-23 season

Juan Soto's long ball -- a 451-foot smash off a cutter from Braves pitcher Bryce Elder -- vaulted him into an elite club filled with former and future Hall of Famers. Soto is now one of 23 players in MLB history to hit homer No. 100 before turning 24. He's the eighth youngest player on the list.

Opening day not worth the wait for Nationals in loss to Mets

The Nationals kicked off their season Thursday with a 5-1 loss to the Mets in an anticlimactic opening day. Aside from a Juan Soto solo home run, Washington's offense couldn't get off the ground, while New York tallied 12 hits and scored runs in the fifth, sixth and seventh innings.
