Donald Trump: Stay home through April 30

President Trump, speaking in unusually somber tones, told Americans on Tuesday to brace for a "very, very painful two weeks" and begged them to stay at home as much as possible through April 30.

Andrew Cuomo: I’m not engaging Donald Trump in politics

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Monday said he's not going to engage President Trump in politics, hours after Mr. Trump suggested Mr. Cuomo would have been a better Democratic presidential candidate than Joseph R. Biden.

New York death toll from coronavirus tops 1,200

The number of people in New York who have died from the new coronavirus hit 1,218 as of Monday, Gov. Andrew Cuomo said -- an increase of 253 compared to the number Mr. Cuomo announced a day earlier.

USNS Comfort arrives in New York

The USNS Comfort, a "floating hospital" ship, arrived Monday in Manhattan in a welcome sight for state and local officials working to combat the coronavirus.
