Rand Paul: Obama blinked during 2011 debt ceiling fight

Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky said Friday he opposes an increase in the debt ceiling absent "significant reforms," arguing that President Obama ended up negotiating during the 2011 fight over the debt ceiling despite Mr. Obama's own previous pledges.

Hillary Clinton leads Bernie Sanders by 11 points in Iowa in post-debate poll

Former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton has opened up an 11-point lead on Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont in the early state of Iowa, according to survey results released Friday that also showed Hawkeye State Democrats thought Mrs. Clinton did the best in last week's Democratic presidential debate.

Ben Carson leads Donald Trump by 9 points in Iowa: poll

Retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson has overtaken billionaire businessman Donald Trump in another poll on the 2016 GOP presidential field in the early state of Iowa, picking up 10 points of support since August.

Donald Trump at 32 percent support in new poll on 2016 GOP field

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has the support of nearly one-third of Republicans and GOP-leaning independents, according to a new poll that shows an even greater percentage of voters say he's the candidate most likely to win the party's nomination and the candidate most likely to win in the general election.
