Republicans push for final tax cut bill by end of year

Congressional Republicans say they are pressing forward after the Senate passed its $1.4 trillion tax cut bill late last week and that its differences with the House version shouldn't create major roadblocks in the process as they look to send a bill to President Trump's desk before year's end.

Susan Collins will support GOP tax-cut bill

Sen. Susan Collins of Maine said Friday she will support Senate Republicans' $1.4 trillion-plus tax-cut bill, all but ensuring that GOP leaders do indeed have enough support to pass the legislation as they indicated earlier in the day.

Mitch McConnell: ‘We have the votes’ on tax plan

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said Friday that he has enough votes to get the GOP's $1.4 trillion-plus tax-cut plan across the finish line, as Republican holdouts gradually started to fall in line.

Jeff Flake announces support for tax bill; deal involves work on DACA

Sen. John McCain to support GOP tax bill

Susan Collins ‘not committed’ to voting for tax bill

Tax cut ‘trigger’ proposed to limit deficit

As they search for a final deal on tax cuts, Republican leaders are considering a proposal by deficit hawks to include a "trigger" that would halt the cuts if the economy doesn't grow fast enough to constrain the deficit.

Senate budget committee advances GOP tax plan
