Chris Thompson returns to practice, DeSean Jackson sits out

Thompson practiced on Wednesday for the first time since tearing the labrum in his left shoulder but was limited. Jackson sat out with a bruised left knee, but coach Jay Gruden doesn't expect him to miss Sunday's game against the Bills.

DeSean Jackson has bruised knee, will be day to day

The Redskins' wide receiver injured his left knee against the Bears, but remained in the game. Coach Jay Gruden said he does not anticipate Jackson to miss any playing time next week against the Bills.

Jason Hatcher, Derek Carrier active against Bears

Carrier was inactive last week because of an ankle injury but the tight end returns to action on Sunday. Hatcher pinched a nerve and expects to play a limited role on defense.
