D.C. Council votes to lower sales tax

Prominent D.C. restaurant owner, son charged with bribery

D.C. campaign finance investigation yields another guilty plea

A Philadelphia business owner on Monday became the third associate of prolific political donor Jeffrey E. Thompson to plead guilty to charges related to a widespread campaign finance investigation, admitting in federal court to funneling more than $132,000 in straw donations to various races.

Maryland man admits role in D.C. campaign finance scheme

A Maryland man admitted in federal court to giving more than $160,000 in straw political donations at the direction of his former boss — the prolific political donor at the center of a D.C. campaign finance investigation that again appears to be accelerating after another person was charged Thursday.
