ALLENTOWN, Pa. (AP) - Officials say a Pennsylvania woman accused of running a red light that caused a crash killing three has been charged in their deaths.
Authorities on Friday charged 77-year-old Joyce Klahr with vehicular homicide and involuntary manslaughter in the 2018 Upper Saucon Township crash.
The Lehigh County district attorney’s office says the Salisbury Township woman failed to stop at a red light and struck a car carrying 75-year-old Eldon Priestly and his wife, 77-year-old Fern Priestly, of Morristown, New Jersey.
Fern Priestly died at the scene. Her husband died in December from his injuries.
A third vehicle was involved in the crash. Fifty-one-year-old Timothy Hank, of Pennsburg, also died.
A message seeking comment was left with a home phone number found for Klahr.
She’s expected to be arraigned Friday.
