NORRISTOWN, Pa. (AP) - A Philadelphia man has been sentenced to consecutive life terms in the shooting deaths of two men in a suburban apartment building almost two years ago.

The (Norristown) Times Herald (https://bit.ly/2xw7GCw ) reports that 25-year-old Obrian Lewis was sentenced in the November 2015 slayings in Norristown.

Jurors in Montgomery County convicted Lewis of two counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of 26-year-old Marcel Edwards and 26-year-old Quentin Watson Jr.

Prosecutors said he shot the victims in a jealous rage over a woman that both he and one of the victims had dated.

Defense attorney John McMahon Jr. has vowed an appeal, arguing that his client was acting in self-defense and should have faced nothing more serious than manslaughter charges.
