AZUSA, Calif. (AP) - Southern California authorities say a domestic-violence suspect who barricaded himself in a home with two children surrendered after releasing the kids unharmed.
Police in Azusa say officers were sent to the residence early Monday after receiving a 911 call of a possible assault. Officers found a woman with non-life threatening injuries. She was hospitalized in unknown condition.
A standoff began when the suspect, an unidentified man, holed up inside with a 12-year old boy and a 17-month-old girl. The man released the children a few hours later and eventually he gave himself up.
It wasn’t immediately clear if the children belonged to the suspect or the woman.
