JACKSON, Miss. (AP) - Police in the Mississippi city of Jackson are sorting out details on a shooting that left one man dead and an 18-year-old critically wounded.
Police said they recovered a “substantial amount” of illegal drugs at the scene where 25-year-old Jacoby Davis died early Wednesday.
Jackson news media said a 7-year-old was in the house in north Jackson where the shooting occurred. The child was unharmed.
Neighbors said the tenants at the house had only lived there about a month.
