JOLIET, Ill. (AP) - A woman originally charged with murder in the slayings of two Joliet men will testify against three other defendants in exchange for a lesser charge.
The Southtown Star reports (bit.ly/1hgloay) that 20-year-old Alissa Massaro of Joliet pleaded guilty Thursday to two counts of robbery and two counts of concealing a homicide.
The charges stem from the January 2013 killings of Terrance Rankins and Eric Glover at her father’s house. Prosecutors say the men were strangled and drugs and money stolen from them.
They say Massaro did not participate but failed to notify anyone of the deaths.
She agreed to testify against 25-year-old Joshua Miner, 20-year-old Adam Landerman and 19-year-old Bethany McKee.
Her guilty plea includes a 10-year prison sentence and credit for the 16 months she’s spent in jail.
