RAWLINS, Wyo. (AP) - The U.S. Bureau of Land Management has scheduled two upcoming public meetings on a power line project in southern Wyoming.

The meetings on the Gateway South project are set for April 2 at the community center in Baggs and April 3 at the community center in Rawlins. Both meetings will take place from 4-7 p.m.

The Rawlins Daily Times reports (https://bit.ly/1dsMnUa ) the Gateway South power lines will connect a substation located between Hanna and Medicine Bow to a substation near Mona, Utah.



Gateway South is part of a multi-year expansion by PacifiCorp that will add some 2,000 miles of new transmission lines across the region. The public has until May 22, 2014 to review and comment on the draft environmental study for the Gateway South project.
